Accessories for Yaris
I'm looking for a window shade for the front windshield that fits the Yaris well (one of the reflective ones that keeps the interior cool). I am also looking for window vent visors so I can keep my windows cracked on hot days. If anybody has these and would like to give a review it would be appreciated. By the way, this forum is awsome. It always helps if people can help each other.

Window shade is good. It can help reduce the workload of the A/C, thus pay for itself in due course. I have one.
I am also eager to find out more about window visors. The misgivings I hold include louder wind noise and increased wind resistance. They should be good for summer though. |

I have had one for every car I own and it is well worth the cost. The only thing is that the Yaris has a narrow and tall windshield and I want one that fits well...........

Well, if you want one, get one.
Mine was bought a few months ago from the Canadian Super Store. There were two sizes available, standard and big. I bet similar stores in the US, e.g. Walmart should carry the same thing. |

Ordered my Vent Visors this morning.
They've had them for the sedan but just started carrying them for the LiftBack. These are the kind that just slip into the top window channel and are held in place just by tension.
I have had these on a few vehichles and they don't interfere with your windows rolling up at all in case you were concerned. A much better look and fit. Much better & more permanent than adhesive-attached kind. $49.95 plus shipping. Shipping starts at $12 http://www.weathertech.com Tonight was an example of why these would be nice. It was 100 degrees when I went into work this afternoon. I left the drivers window cracked because as you know, the black dash really makes the car that much hotter. Anyway, when I left work, it was pouring down rain, blowing sideways and the drivers seat and floor was wet as well as the inside of the door. If I had these today, I still could have left the window cracked open and got no rain inside. I think they add a nice accent to the exterior as well as being functional. |

Thanks for the very informative post above. Just visited the site. They even say the deflectors, as they call them, can help reduce wind noise. I am afraid that as snap-on items, they may be stolen easily. May be that is an undue worry.

If the windows are up, there would be NO removing them . The windows would have to be left down considerably to get them out/off. They lock into the top of the window track. |

I just got a windshield shade from my Toyota dealership parts dep. and it fits perfectly. It is a INTRO-TECH Windshield Sunshade modle # TT-81. I am very happy with it. It is a perfect fit with no gaps whatsoever and it cost me $20 plus tax.

Well I ordered the WeatherTech window visors today. I'm sure I'm not the only one here that wants these so I will let you all know how they work out. They are the in-channel type and they were $60.00 and they only come in smoke color.
