Are these Tires ok? - Toyota Yaris Forums

These are Falken Ziex Ze-912 All season performance tire.
Size is:195/60R15 88H for $60 each. I want to put them on my stock steelies. I have the tanabe df210 lowering springs on the car and I have no idea if these will work. I don't know diddely

about tires and would appreciate some help. Thanks alot!

195/55/15 would be better, you might rub some with 195/60

205/50 would be my choice.... much more common tire size, wider footprint

205/50R15 or 205/45R16

to OP: i have 195/60R15 in the winter (cez it was cheap!) You shouldn't be rubbing with the OEM steelies.

Hm. I know that 195-50-15s are perfect for the Yaris.

Go to http://wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp

And place in your wheel size, then compare it to another size and you'll see the difference and what fits. Anything too big will risk rubbing!

195/55R15 is still smaller than OEM. I would only do 195/50R15 if I had 14" OEM, but then again...

Are you using them in the winter? If not why not buy a summer performance tire? There have much better grip.

i like bridgestone/firestone myself and fuzion has an hri tire in those sizes for about $10 cheaper. or, if you just like the tread design you can get the ZRi for about the same price and a z rated tire.

if the 912's are anything like the 512's i'd pass if i were you.

Thanks everyone! All I want is a tire that performs well on dry/wet roads and good enough to get by in the snowy winter. And I want all this for around $60 a tire. :)

Why compromise with 3-seasons?
I'd think your being in Cali would dictate use of summer only hi-po sneakers.

It's definitely not a racing tire, you're right. But he's putting them on his steelies, I don't think he'll be racing anytime soon.

Google 88Rotors Inc. in El Monte. Tell them what tire size you are looking for and say "you saw their post on Honda-Tech Forum." they are giving smoking deals on Falkens right now and they ship. If you're in the LA area just drive down there and they will mount and balance them for 10 bucks a wheel.

Lol yeah but I live 5,000 feet in the mountains and last year I think we had 18" of snow. I wish I could buy summer and winter tires but I don't have the moola. I'm just in a little predicament
