Injen Hydroshield System
Well I thought I would give this product a test,
I live in FL, which if all you know, rains a lot during the summer, its rained for pretty much a week straight and nothing light, we have had about 2 feet of water fall within that week. Making it super hard to keep a cold air intake filter dry. I have read good reviews on this product on other forums, and thought I would try it. Basically the hopes of this product for me is just to keep the water from soaking my intake without needing the addition of a bypass filter. Quote from the Injen Site: "INJEN Hydro-Shield Pre-Filters are race proven material manufactured from highly durable polyester. Uniform micron openings allow the filtering of debris .005" or larger. INJEN Technology's HYDRO-SHIELD Pre Filter are factory treated using a proprietary hydrophobic process which offers consistent air flow, water repellency and maintains horsepower gains." So for $25 bucks I figured if it keeps the water away, its worth it. I will keep you guys posted when it comes in and when its on the car. If this doesnt work in what I want, time to upgrade to a bypass filter.
