Timing chain, sprockets, & cam position sensor problems?

Question? Doesn't the Yaris (US model) use the same engine as the Echo, XA, and XB? Are there any differences? I've seen these cars go 250,000 miles without problems. Why might the Yaris have timing chain problems?

I've not been able to find any noticable differences between the Echo and Yaris in the Engine itself or the valvetrain of the engine ... I don't know why the Yaris would be having these problems, unless it's just isolated incidents among a handful of cars, all of which should be covered under warranty.

I also was thinking it was just a few isolated incidents. Strange, however, they both occured in Canada.
