over extended "break-in"

I'm approaching 55k miles at the 2 year mark, and I am finding that comfort and performance wise the car is feeling even better.

The seats have sagged a bit which actually gives more side bolster support and they feel better than when they were new.
I have to be in a hurry or drive pretty sloppy to get less than 40Mpg on my commute now.
Driving my wife's car on the weekends is uncomfortable because the controls and guages are not in the optimal positions.

The clutch feels right and shifts are smooth.
After taking the snows off and putting the regular tires back on for the 2nd year, the cornering and highway ride seem even better than when it was new.

---------------------

Just curious if anyone is having similar experience.

I just hit the 2 year mark and have 21,000 miles. The car still feels and drives like new. Luckly I have avoided pot holes and other suspension changing events.

21,000 in 2 years? Shoot, I think I'll hit that either today or tomorrow. And it hasn't been 9 months yet that I've owned the car!

Though I have noticed an increase in MPG lately. Probably a combination of things, mostly summer gas and better driving habits, maybe a little of the break-in factor thrown in. I've seen 40+ on 2 tanks, 39.xx on 2 tanks, and a couple 38.xx's. Even if I only average 39mpg, that's still a heck of a lot better than on the old car (average of only 26mpg). I'll take that!

Ummm, how do I say it quietly... 2-1/2 years old and just hit 15,000 miles this past weekend. It is kind of nice living close to everything.

3 months and 24 days @ 3,145 mi

Lowest tank FE... 288/10.528 = 27.896 MPG
Highest tank FE... 504/10.253 = 49.156 MPG

Woohoo... "Oh, what a feeling!"
