Anybody had rubbing issue and solved it ??

Hi i'v lowered my LB yaris with Tein Coilspring last week It is now 1.9R 1.9F. I'm on 205/50r16 on 16x7 Slipstream +40 offset. My car was on Eibach Prokit 1.2'' Drop With No rubbing at all. After the installation of the TEIN Spring with the 1.9'' Drop, the tires rubs on the front inner fender when i take even small bumps. It rubs where the bumper connects to the fender.

Anybody had a rubbing issue and solved it ?

Thank you !!

so you only used springs to lower your car and your shock/struts are still OEM. maybe your shocks are too soft to withstand and handle the extra weight. try getting stiffer aftermarket shocks as well

skinnier tires or stiffer shocks will solve your problem

I lowered mine with df210's and TRD shock/strut, and on stock tires had no rubbing at all.

I went to 205/55/15's and that's when I started rubbing on bumps.

These wheel wells aren't really built to hold anything over a 195 if it's dropped

I'll post few pics today after i wash it !!

I like my 205 tires but i guess if i had bought 195 they would be more streched and would not rub. with 1.2 inch drop ( as seen on my signature picture ) there was absolutly NO rubbing at all thought.

I was wondering if there was a way to modify the inner fender to stop the rubbing. I'll go to the junk yard buy two spare inner fender because mine are getting a little weak lol .

Another thing ... if i go with stiffer shocks ! will the car handling be improved a lot ? I was also thinking of doing the mod discussed on the forum wich takes your rear axle a little higher !!

When i took my spare tire out all my rubbing issues went away in the back and surprisingly even in the front.
