Tachometer Installed

No big deal, I just finally got a tach installed and finished the wiring up today. I'm not electrical guru so a friend from school helped with the wiring and did a very nice job. The tach is a Sunpro Super Tach II, all black. Enjoy.

Also, thank you to Thomas for providing the wiring schematic.

Nice Matt! You must be tall; looks like it's angled up quite a bit. =)

The mount is contoured to the a-pillar, yes it is angled up a bit but it was the best way to obtain a sturdy mount and a clean look. also, i am very very tall

That's the right way to do it, take your time and the end result looks just like yours, clean.

thanks Mike...I tend to get a bit impatient with projects but taking my time ensures less broken parts and a better end result.

Thanks Charles, I'll be sure to report back to my buddy. The connector where you see the red and black wires coming into are just spade connectors, but the other piece is called a t-tap...very handy. The t-taps are the reason the damn install took place over "3" days, we ran to every store in town...twice, trying to find them and we had to order a special size from NAPA. Oh btw, if anyone tries finding fuses for our cars locally, best of luck, not a single store in my area has fuses small enough.

oh, i should note since no one asked, the wiring is all coming out of the dimmer switch for the instrument panel; the wiring schematic is found in the wiring diagram pdf on pp. 304-305. we wired it here so i could dim the tach light with the rest of the dash

Nice clean install and I know you probably didn't want to void any warranty but those t-tabs don't give you that good of a connection. I would run a meter on them and make sure it's getting the right volts and everything.
