Thoughts on dash kits

I thinking of doing this I would pick the blue color for the kit. Just wanted some thoughts before I purchase this. Don't shop at this company really bad customer service.

I have seen other products from other companies in the Yaris and didn't care for them personally, but I haven't seen the one they are selling yet. They do have a return policy at least right if you got it in person and was like, "meh" or "ugh" ?

I have a carbon fiber kit that enviri gave me that I experimented with, but the problem is that they really look like something stuck on, as opposed to making the parts look like they are made out of the material. Water transfer would be the ultimate way to go for dressing up parts without them looking painted or stickered.

I ended up using vinyl wrap for a better effect of the pieces being constructed in the material....

I wouldnt mind trying a matte Black kit on My Yaris. Problem is here in South Africa, they Charge you an Arm and a leg for anything to do with Motoring. Would look Seriously cool. Even a Matte Black Wrap on the car as well (little off Topic but its R4500 to do my Yaris = $550

I just don't think wood grain fits the Yaris 'style', so to speak. CF, although not to my liking, would be better IMO.

Well I should of not gotten this dash kit it looks so cheap and it's so thin I almost broke it taking one piece off to see how it looked, because now I can't return it for a refund because they have a policy on dash kits or special ordered items that you can't get a refund or return the this type of item. They told me to sell it on my own. That to me is a bad company policy but I guess alot of hard work and hours go into the product. Not worth the money I spend, so if there is anyone wanting this it might be worth it to someone on here, I'm giving it away for free just pay shipping. Lesson learned listen to others thoughts on products.

Hehe.. yea.. put it to you this way.. all that advice that was given.. they made the same mistake at one point. As long as you learned your lesson.

Any more plans/idea's for your next purchase/mod?

I think I'm done with the mods for now after the past 2 duds, first being the tail lights and now this dash kit I would be scared to do any more. I'm happy the way the yaris is for now. Here's a picture of what the dash kit looks like for anyone wondering.

Don't give up, try a different direction that's what Modding is about. It's all trial and error til you get what you want

I agree, dont cave in yet. take it as a loss. I will have to take a 500 dollar loss on my rear bumper. Damn tab broke off and paint beginnig to bubble in 2 spots.. side skirts were a nightmare because I took a short cut. lesson learned, but I wont stop.. just gotta collect my losses and try again

I will continue doing mods eventually, I have been disappointed with them. But on a good note after about a day of communication with the company they offered to give me my money back but not the shipping that is ok, so going that route now. So that money will be saved for something in the future for the car probably not a mod but towards service.

Good news. Hassling usually works. Surprised though in this particular case

I saw the dash kits many months ago while I was looking for my previous car. In the end I figured, as others have here, that water-transfer or vinyl wrap is a better solution.
