^^^^^ Congratulations, and Welcome . I like the LE, I just wish it came with a 5-speed manual and hand crank windows. My next car will likely be a new Yaris L 3-door, given that I can get the 5-speed manual and hand crank windows.

WELCOME!

Welcome & Congrats with your new Yaris purchase

It's so cool to get such great gas mileage without even trying. I had forgotten how much fun it is to drive a go-cart with air conditioning.

2013 Yaris L Red 4 Speed Auto here, built in Japan in September of 2012, with a whopping 6,700 miles on it now I may have 30,000 miles on it when the 2023's come out

Read your manual & the posts here, you'll learn a lot

How do you think things will progress from here? Do you think there will be a 2015 MY current 3rd Gen that will be an abbreviated MY and then the 'next gen Mexico built' one will come out in the Spring/Summer of 2015 as a 2016 model.........Or will it be like the Fit -- skipping a model year and trickling along with some of the previous model year as new ? I was thinking the former (but that is only a wild guess), and that I'd start following closely (around mid summer) the cool Cars.com page you found to track the location and number of all the remaining 2014 Manual L 3-doors....If the count got low enough before any 2015 announcement, I'd just buy one of the ones strill available. If Toyota announced that (re USDM) there would be a 2015 MY...3rd Gen with MT and hand crank windows...I'd transfer that approach to the 2015 MY (realizing that I might need to buy one right away). Have you heard anything that might be helpful ?

A few more things that can possibly malfunction, plus I can't (with power windows) crack the driver door window open to the exact point I prefer while driving.

I will outline everything I have heard in detail below:

I think your plan to keep an eye on inventories is a good one for now.
