2002 Japanese Imported Vitz – Standard Radio Question
Hi Guys, I am new to the forum and hoping somebody here can help me. I recently purchased a 2002 toyota vitz which comes with the standard built in Toyota radio/tape/cd. The car is an import so the radio does not work as is.
The Radio has the following model number on it. Pioneer FH-M9217ZT The radio is pretty much OK but I need to install a band expander to pick up the missing channels. 1) Does somebody know where I can get an English manual for the radio? 2) A wiring diagram would be good. I am trying to hook up the positive wire from the band expander but working under that dash is not easy. Where is the easiest place to hook up the positive? I have not been able to get to the cigarette lighter which was my first choice but I can piggy back on the wire's going into the radio itself. These are easier to get to and it does not require me to take apart most of the dash, Which of the wires going into the radio is the positive? There are 2 sets of plugs. Thanks Guys Hopefully I can contribute sometime too. |
