How much is it worth?

I am putting my Yaris up for sale as I have come across another car to pick up as my daily driver. It's a 2007 hatchback with close to 7,900miles on the OD. Basically the car is still clean as hell, except for a couple scratches on the back bumper due to people who have no respect for others cars when they park. I know these little bastards are over priced in dealers, so I was thinking of putting it up for 13,000 OBO. Does that sound reasenable?

What options does it have? I bought mine, which looks identical to yours, for $12,300 brand new.

13K is sky high. You're lucky to get 10,500. I think anything in the 9k range is a reasonable no muss no fuss asking price. 9900 firm?

I agree with the others. No one is going to pay anything near $13,000 for your car. Hopefully you don't lose too much money selling it.

I've seen dealerships selling used ones around here for around 15-19K depending on model and options. Mst of those around the same mileage as mine if not higher.

1st post here

I would avoid selling it right now because dealers r reducing inventory at the end of the month. My local dealers are all at invoice, no games. Honestly some may even go lower if pushed. All the salespeople are working overtime to make quota.

Dealers always sell used cars for more than what you're probably going to get for it. Two year old models of the car I bought before my Yaris were on used dealer lots for $2K more than I paid for it brand new!

Good luck with the sale, hope you break even or come close to it!

It could be worst, you could be trying to sell your Yaris here in Canada. Since there's now a $1000 government rebate on a new Yaris, it doesn't make sense to buy old. Interestingly enough, the Fit didn't quality for the $1000 rebate (Honda Canada most be pissed).

Also, the buy&sell is flooded with automatic Yaris that are coming off rental lots. In Ontario, out of 152 Yaris for sales on trader.ca, only 3 had a manual transmission.

Unfortunately, you lose a lot of money by selling a car.

This thing is manuel everything!!!! lol

How about letting it go for 11K? I'm just trying to break even with this sale. If I go any lower I have to cover the losses. I don't mind doing it, but would like to see if I dont have too.

Was the car damaged in any way? - brand new that car would have been at least 14,000 - is hard to believe that you bought it for 9,900 with less than 10,000 miles on it.

The car was in mint condition. Not a thing wrong with it. Never in an accident. He paid $15k plus TTL. Has cruise control too!

that's the best deal i've heard of so far - that guy must have had to sell it quick for some reason or he was an idiot.

Well guys I decided to put it up for sale for $11,500 last night, and today early morning I got a call from a guy interested. He checked it out, and well the deal is done. Now I just have to wait for his credit union to send mine the check for the car, and he drives off with it. Then I can go pick up my hatch, and drop my k20 in their. However I'm not sure if I want to do anything to the motor before dropping it in. hmmm?
