Would it be okay if I use thinner tires?
Hello everyone, newbie in the block.
I was wondering if it'd be okay to use 16in wheels with 165/60R16 Tires on a 2010 yaris hatchback with 5drs. These are my brother's spare Scion iQ wheels that he said I could have to use for the winter. I am originally at 14 inches. I have figured that the total diameter is about 24.3 inches, which is fine by the big tire guide, but it seems like they all recommend tires with larger width like 195 for 16inch rims. What happens if I do 165? This is my first car so I'm not sure what the effects are of keeping your tire width but increasing diameter. |
