Disable Door Buzzer (specifically on the hatch) - Toyota Yaris Forums

2016 Yaris L - 5 speed manual

I'm not able to close the hatch with my longboard surfboard in the car... but driving a few miles down some back roads with the hatch open is really a pain.

However, the door buzzer yelling at me to close the hatch while I'm driving, IS A PAIN IN THE NECK (errr... ear)

Anyone know an easy way to disable the door buzzer on the hatch?

(p.s. putting boards on the roof w/ straps or a Thule rack doesn't work for me)

Use a screwdriver or key to latch the latch. Just make sure you open it again before slamming the gate closed.

I'm pretty sure you can disable it via techstream.
I don't have a hatch, so I can't try, but I've been able to disable seat belt chime with the techstream software.
