Reverse gear scratches on Yaris SCP90 with 2SZ-FE engine
Good morning everyone, I have a problem with my 2007 Toyota Yaris with 1.3 engine (87 HP). In practice, when I press the clutch and engage reverse gear, sometimes (especially with a hot engine) the gearbox squeals. To minimize the phenomenon I have to press the clutch twice or first engage fourth gear and then reverse.
The car has 122,000 km, I bought it recently, and the clutch does not tear or slip, but I noticed that it attacks very low. Furthermore, when I press or release the clutch lever (both with the engine off and on) I hear a squeaking noise coming from the engine compartment. Can anyone tell me what this is about? Thank you
