Anyone been on 15z 16z and 17z?

Got my 09 LB and want to get some wheels. Im torn between the sizes. I have stock 15's with cover. I love the view of the 17's that I have seen on the board, but I also like some 16's and some of the 15's with the right setup. I wouldnt mind a slight bit of mileage loss and performance. Ive checked alot of your garages, but still unsure. Im leaning toward Konig Feathers, but who knows? Hep me decide.

I've been on 17's and I've been on 15's and I wouldn't trade my 15's for anything. Just my two cents.

Thanks ChinoCharles, I will keep that in mind. Actually, I have been through this many times, but not with the Yaris, and I really didnt think I would with this car, but the bug has bit me.....once again.

+1

A beefy 15" setup looks and handles particularly well on this car. I don't miss my old 17's at all nowadays.

I'm biased towards feathers in 17...

Good-Win Racing is a good resource for light wheel/tire combos in 15, 16, 17...

That just looks tricksick. Love it. So your setup would be how much (lbs)over stock steelies(15") with covers? Total package weight per wheel with tires. Tks.

Thanks much. The pic is more than convincing. I have the Polar White. Wonder if the black 17 feathers would do justice. Silver looks hard to beat on your RED though. Are your Falkens the 512 or 912?

Wow. This is going to be a hard choice even with the feedback. Looks great. Makes my stockers look like ancient history, and Im sure they will be. Thanks.

I agree, from what I have seen. Actually there are very few Yaris's in my area, and the only ones I have seen are stock. So I have to rely on pics to make a call on what I will go with. Im leaning toward TRD springs/17 Konig Feathers/Tire Undecided. But I tend to change my mind from day to day. LOL. Im in no rush, so that makes it OK. I thank all for the pics and input.

I have 16" and I want to change again to 15".

I think 15" is the better for our cars.

Regards!

I actually have been on all three sizes. I went from stock 15" wheels to 17" RPF1's and then to my current 16" O.Z. wheels. From a handling perspective: 16's > 17's > 15's. My 17" wheel and tire combo was still lighter and shorter than the stock 15" combo. My 16" wheels shave off even more weight and are over 1" shorter than the stock combo. (When you do the math it's about a 7% difference so that's a noticeable 7% improvement in acceleration). You can get even lighter with 15" wheels but it's pretty hard to find a tire that's shorter than a 205/40/16, and there is a better selection of performance tires available for 16" wheels.

If looks are all that matters, go with 17's. Stick with smaller sizes for performance.
