Exclamation Canper

Hello ,

I have a issue in hand. Please can somebody suggest something.

A button cell( no charge) just went right in thru my gearshift (in the front of the car) area of my Yaris Sedan and cannot be detected.

I am now worried, this will damage the gear box of the car.

Should I take the car to a mechanic and get it removed or is it fine if it remains there?

Please suggest as the car is a new one.

Regards,

Canper

I'm not sure what a button cell is (a battery???) but you can remove the centre console to access the lower portion of the shifter. If it's tiny then I wouldn't be concerned providing your shifter moves freely.
