changing standard stereo

Hi,
I have purchased a 2006 toyota yaris yrs that comes with steering wheel controls.
however the standard stereo does not have blue tooth, Usb or aux connections.
I was wondering if I purchased another toyota stereo model with all these features will it be compatible with the steering controls.
If anyone could help it would be great. Also would it be an easy change over?
Thanks

As long as the Toyota stereo is one that supports steering wheel controls it will definitely work.

I'm not entirely sure, and I'm sure a certain CTScott would chime in - Provided the controls would work, I have a factory Toyota stereo out of my 2013 that has bluetooth and USB aux built in I could send to you :) This one, to be exact.

Edit: haha, he beat me to the punch as I was typing this :p

That would definitely be one that would work. With that one you would just need an antenna adapter, since the newer Toyota radios use a different antenna connector than the 2011 and older ones do.

The model of the stereo is Ft0022a.
I can't upload a picture for some reason.
It should be fairly straight forward right ctscott?

Check the dimensions of it to be sure, but I believe it will fit and be fully compatible, other than needing the antenna adapter.

Thanks for your help ctscott.
Stereo has been installed. Needed the radio adapter like you said and another harness that plugged into the stereo.
Would you know where I can find a user manual for the Toyota stereo?
Model is Ft0022a.

There is an aftermarket stereo designed for Toyota's 200mm hole (as compared to the standard 180mm).

No splicing of wires and all, and comes with bluetooth, USB and aux input.

Just a thought if you're looking into replacing your stereo anyway. I am unsure if it's readily available in US shores without going through international shipment/ebay.

edit: you're in Aus so just google this if you will. Kenwood DDX630WBT

Sorry astroboy. I'm new to this so I'll keep that in kind for next time.
Jcboy, I have already bought and installed the Toyota head unit. Just looking for an instruction/user manual as if didn't come with one when I purchased it.
Any help locating will be greatly appreciated!
