Suicide doors?
I saw a pic of a yaris with custom door hinges they opened up towards the front of the car not sure what they are called, but was wondering if u can buy a kit for that or for suicide doors and how hard is it to install.

You can buy suicide hinges from many vendors... but it's all custom to make them work on the Yaris and function well... I personally think they'd look really bad given the design of the car and really only like them on 4 doors, or cars with small doors...
Try... Autoloc they have a ton of custom hinges / fun stuff.

Gonna be fun to reinforce the mounting points enough to handle the reversal. Like said above, there are kits all over, but most depend on the installers ingenuity. The Yaris door is relatively heavy for the size car, so the install is going to have to include heavy bracing to get it done...how deep are your pockets?

Suicide door kits for the four door Yaris should be relatively inexpensive ($300-$400 + labor), and I think it would look really cool.
As far as doing it to a 2-door... It would be expensive and impractical... And as far as looks go, meh.

Is this too good to be true?
http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...kit-173-a.html I also found a manual kit starting at $399 for the Yaris: http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...roduct=suicide

Yeah I've seen that around... It was at SEMA last year I believe...
It's got a big ass. I really want those rear doors though.

The whole point of suicide doors was to open up the whole interior of the car to make getting in or out easier. On 4-door cars, this generally entailed removing the centre post.
On the Yaris, I don't think you could make a case that getting in the rear seat would be any easier with the door hinged at the back, even if the centre post were removed. Anyway, with the safety implications of the necessary mods, it would all be utterly impractical for a road car - just good for show. Maybe a 2-door would be better. Why not just expend the enormous money and bodywork talent required on gull-wing doors, or something? |

Suicide doors on a Yaris is best relegated to dedicaded show cars. The same goes for "Lambo" doors. The Yaris body style does not lend itself well to either one IMO. IMO, the money and effort is best spent on other mods. |

im not a big fan of suicide doors on the front though that green widebody yaris is a perfect example of how it should be done |

I agree with the front suicide doors. I'm doing rear doors myself.
