Trouble removing stock HU bolts

I've got the stock HU out of the car but I cannot get the brackets off the side because the damn bolts are like siezed on!!!! I tried a regular phillips and a crescent wrench and I could not get them off. I have a socket set but it looks like the bolts are 8mm and the smallest I have are 9mm

Anyone else experience anything like this before during their install?

Nope, screwdriver worked for me, you might have to pickup an 8mm.

screw driver worked for me too... you might try tapping the screw driver with a hammer lightly a few times to kinda free it up. or have someone tap the back of the screw driver while you turn it .. kinda like an impact wrench... tap lightly! not hard

get a 8mm makes it super easy. they must torque them in, there really is no need for them to be this tight.

Mine would NOT come out with a screwdriver. I ended up stripping 6 of the 8, it's was like they were made out of butter. Crappiest screws I've ever seen. I did get them off with a socket though.

hmmm....i only had 4 screws.... I wonder if the integrated units are all a pain to remove...and if the non-integrated units are easy to remove?
