Upgraded Scion radio query

OK, I'm very close to ordering a Scion upgraded Pioneer unit from ebay, but wanted to see if anyone out there has it and has strong feelings one way or the other about that unit when compared to aftermarket. I know aftermarket has more options and is cheaper for satellite, but I like the idea of Toyota fitment and wiring harness, if I'm not sacrificing much in terms of sound quality compared to aftermarket in the $200 price range. I'm not building a monster system, but I do want better than stock sound and will probably add small amps and speaker upgrades down the road, which the Scion/Pioneer supports.
