I was at a Veteran's day parade today recording it, when I just happened to turn my head and looked up and saw $1.99! I said to myself "Holy Cow! It's Pre-2005 again!"

This is so pré 70's!
If there were prices like over here that i would drive a Toyota Tundra 5.7 anyday and i would have less money to pay for a Yaris than a Tundra i think right now lol...

Idk about the gas prices going any lower. OPEC plans on limiting production to drive prices back up.

This means we'll start seeing more and more pickups and SUVs on the road again. Not good. I'd rather we have $3/gal. gas again than have to deal with all those dickheads who drive those massive vehicles when they know they can get by with a much smaller, more fuel efficient car.

I hope that the consumption habits people formed during the 4/gal. times will stick, however I don't think they will. While a huge part of the bloated price of a bbl. of oil was the speculative "economic devices" that were held by the big boys that either went under, or had to beg, borrow and steal from the rest of us to stay afloat because they were "too big to fail;" the oil co.'s will look for any excuse they can the jack things right back up. I think an increase in demand will fit that bill particularly well, though I did see a prediction of serious economic contractions (or at least slows in expansion) in China may help keep things down.

The other thing nobody is mentioning is, gas dropping this fast is NOT a good thing.
Just another symptom of a failing economy.
