New Guy <---------------

Hey all,
Just got my yaris "well borrowing" from my parents til I buy my car in spring. My old car since i had my license was a 1997 Subaru Legacy GT 5 speed red. Awsome car which i sold it yesterday for 3k with 202k on it. Anywho i visited this site for some quick info on rims but now i need a intro thread. yea, i don't have any picture of the car but i need advice on rims. It's NOT my car but i'm going to buy some tire/wheel package for it since the stock RE92 crap tires do no good. I was thinking the trd 18's or motegi rt5? lmk

Welcome to YW

18" rims look good on a Y, but keep in mind the added weight will cause the gas mileage to go down. Most guys around here opt for 15 or 16 for this reason. The ride quality may also be affected at the size you're going for. My two cents

Welcome Choung! I personally ride on 15"s, but I'll let the wheel/tire experts help you out when they chime in. There is also a thread on proper tire sizes for all rim sizes, http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5021.

welcome and from my personal experience the trd 18's look good(mine are black with 2 inch chrome lip) but hinder performance and ride quality.i'll be selling mine soon and seeking a nice set of 16's....
