My new other ride

Just picked it up this week! So far, all it needed was a new tire for the rear.

Here are some specs:
Toyota 2F carbureted 4.2 I6 engine
~120 HP @ 2500 RPM
~220 LB-FT @ 1800 RPM
H42 4 speed manual trans
33x12.5x15 tires

It's not very fast as you only have about 120 HP to push almost 5400 pounds; 0-60 is somewhere in the 25-second range

That's cool! I've been thinking about looking for an old FJ40 for a utility vehicle.

That's mostly what I use it for. It's not a practical commuter vehicle as it gets normally 7-12 MPG.

I like the bumper sticker, even if I'm trying to quit eating meat these days.

See if you can convert it to fuel injection and computer control. Make your life easier.

I'd like to but it will have to wait as I'm feeling a little broke right now. It could probably use a carb adjustment because it hesitates when you try to romp on it. If you take it easy, it pulls smoothly. Never smokes unless the choke is pulled or when it's cold.

If Garm got a FJ, it will end up with a 350cc Turbocharged engine... First FJ to hit the 12sec quarter mile!
