Anyone know what's behind this?

Does anyone know if there is something behind this part or is it just empty space? I'm thinking about hooking up my ipod to my player, but I don't want to be drilling any holes in my interior.

Pop-out the climate control panel (super-easy; <2 minutes) and just look down at the back of the panel you're asking about. I'm pretty sure you can see it from that opening. I was just in there to change the color bulbs, and its pretty wide-open, I believe.

If you need to get instructions on how to remove that panel, look at this:

It's a GPS plug that tracks all other Yarii in the 2-mile radius

If I wanted to know where all the Yarii are, all I got to do is look left then right.

It's open back there (at least for '07 USDM). I was going to put an additional 12v outlet there, but opted for a different location. Bailout put a dual USB charger plug back there, great for things like charging Ipods, cell phones, etc.

Let us know how the project goes! I still want to make that a useful area. Contemplating doing something with my 700w power inverter.

As others have mentioned, there's really nothing right behind that. You can do this though:

That's why it's now an empty space

But seriously, does anyone what that space was originally meant for?
