Anyone know what's behind this?
![]() Does anyone know if there is something behind this part or is it just empty space? I'm thinking about hooking up my ipod to my player, but I don't want to be drilling any holes in my interior. |

Pop-out the climate control panel (super-easy; <2 minutes) and just look down at the back of the panel you're asking about. I'm pretty sure you can see it from that opening. I was just in there to change the color bulbs, and its pretty wide-open, I believe.
If you need to get instructions on how to remove that panel, look at this: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9857 |

It's a GPS plug that tracks all other Yarii in the 2-mile radius

It's open back there (at least for '07 USDM). I was going to put an additional 12v outlet there, but opted for a different location. Bailout put a dual USB charger plug back there, great for things like charging Ipods, cell phones, etc.
Let us know how the project goes! I still want to make that a useful area. Contemplating doing something with my 700w power inverter. |

As others have mentioned, there's really nothing right behind that. You can do this though:
