I have recently bought a second hand Toyota Vitz (Yaris) from Japan and decided to take the car to a mechanic to do a full service before I start to use it.
After the service, I checked the oil level when the engine was cold and noticed that the oil level is about 2 millimetres above the `full level` mark ( a little overfilled) According to the manual, the oil level must be checked when the engine is at operating temperature and you wait for a few minutes after the engine is switched off so that the oil will drain back into the bottom of the sump. When I followed this procedure the oil level was marked at the full level. Shall i get the car back to the mechanic and tell him to drain some of the oil so that (according to the manual) I avoid any damage to the engine? Thks |
