Tire Sidewall damage
So, I kinda went over a curb today, and it gave my front left side tire some damage. I'm unsure what i should do, whether to replace or not.

Take it to a tire shop and have them check it. Better safe than sorry.
Looks like it needs to be replaced to me. |

if the tire is still inflated in the morning and the next day. its fine. just a lil flesh wound for the mighty... yaris rim.
its more of a serious problem if ur steering wheel starts wobbling at higher speed.. |

Thanks for your replies.
I'm mainly concerned about the safety, low on cash atm, but if it has to be replaced then so be it. I will however ask for a personal recommendation from the tyre shop and see how it goes.. |

I put that tire in the rear and keep an eye on the pressure. If it keeps pressure and doesn't vibrate I'd say keep using it.

There can can be internal damage that you can't see.
Also, keep in mind that putting the tire on the back is not safer as a rear blow out can be just as dangerous. Personally, I would not feel safe driving on a tire with side wall damage. Having said all that, it's dificult to assess exactly what damage (if any) has occured from looking at a pic. |

Yeah, looking at the pic there appears to be no cuts. Just a scuff.
The curb damage to the rim looks like it wasn't major either. I just don't see any tire damage from that pic. |
