Remove automatic shift cover

Hey guys! Does anyone know how to remove the plastic automatic shift cover for 07' yaris? I'd like to paint it silver to match the center dash. I think it will give the overall interior a better look. Thank You!

Remove the center console cover first (one screw under the rear cup holder), unscrew the shift knob, and the shift cover has a few tabs that you release to pop it out.

I believe that the little flap that you "???" at is a shift release.

If you need to shift out of park and into neutral without the key, or if the lock doesn't disengage with the key, you stick a screwdriver in that hole.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
