Lowering Help
I've been trying to prioritize what I want to do to my 2007 Sedan, after viewing the forums and reading up (the best I can, don't know a whole lot about cars and such) I have decided that the first and most essential thing is to lower it. I was looking at what other people have done and I've noticed that it's either then tenabe DF210 with (maybe) TRD suspension kit and a strut bar. Here is my question(s)
I live in PA, the roads are ok, but the snow and ice during the winter can really be a pain in the arse, so I don't think I want to lower it like some of the people who live in say Florida and such. The guy I work with suggested Low profile tires instead of changing the springs. I remember reading that TRD Suspension will lower the car by about 1" he said with low profile tires will lower the car about another inch. I have yet to do a comparison price wise, but I'm sure low profile tires may be more expensive then just getting the springs. I think I will be able to lower about 2 inches total and be safe, still need to just double check measurements and stuff. I also was wondering if getting a new strut bar is essential to the changing of suspension and such. I don't plan on racing this yaris by any means, but damnit, I want it to look sweet. Any help guys and girls, would be greatly appreciated -Atticus |
