Question DIY Low intensity high beam ?

Hello all.

I see that many of the American cars have daytime running lamps in the form of a low intensity high beam.

I would like day running lamps for my car however there is no conveniant place to attach those LED ones on my Vitz (I dont have slotted grills). Also I dont like the look of them. I would prefer keep a more stock look.

I have factory HID lamps so what they've done is made the low beam a HID bulb and the high beam a halogen bulb.

Is there anyway I can wire up the hi beam bulb to work at a low intensity, at the same time not affecting the operation of anything else?

I also saw there are these Toyota Day Running Light modules, would these work if I plugged it in to my car ?

Cheers.
