My Grand Plan

Hello All!

I've got a wonderful '08 3dr Hatchback Manual Transmission basic model Yaris that I love. I've done a few mods here and there, all from this great forum. I've got the bug. And boy is it a bad infection.

Here's my plan.

Repaint the exterior of the car with the colors from the original Nintendo console. Nothing flashy. The kind of paint scheme that will make a person that sees it think "why am I thinking of a Nintendo?". The inside, however, will be a bit more detailed. Here's the list:

1. Push button start using the power button from the console
2. LCD screen with an emulator with all NES games on it
3. Change the Shifter to something more NES themed
4. Change the hand brake handle to NES theme
5. Change all interior lights to Red LED's
6. Paint interior to compliment/match exterior

I'm sure more ideas will come, and if any of you have any I'd love to hear them. This is a grand undertaking and I'm still in the planning stages. A major hang up at this moment is finding the right color grey for the majority of the exterior.

Chuckles only has 114k miles right now and I plan on blowing past 500k. Since I'm planning on having this car for so long I want to make it as much mine as possible. Any tips or tricks you all might have for any of the mods I'm planning please please please share!

As I do these mods I will, of course, post many many pics.

Interesting project. Here's an idea: Paint engine cover to look like NES console.

THANK YOU! That's it! or at least as close as I think i'll get without going for custom paint colors, and I just don't have the funding for that. I just wish I could get Nintendo to sponsor me :)

Oh this will be cool

The first thing that came to mind when reading your post about changing shifter was the Nintendo Joystick controller you could buy it sucked on response time for the games but still had to have one to be cool

It's on my list of possible additions. The light gun will be used somehow and I'm sure i'll use the joystick.

So instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd ask here. I'm new to yaris world, but not to the yaris. I had an 08 sedan, got it when I was 17. I rolled it without a seat belt, and came out with a cut hand (punched the windshield to stay inside). It was totaled, so I got another yaris of course. This one is a 2010 hatchback, the maroon one shown below. I want to get different rims, but need help. I can't spend more than like $400 on all four of them, and was thinking something like this?
