Purchased New 2015 LE

Hello! I purchased my car back in January but i've been trolling the site for awhile. I thought i'd post up a picture and stop being so shy.
I'm located in Northern VA, first Yaris purchase :) My previous car was a Celica, complete difference in cars but i love the yaris either way. Thanks for reading

Very nice, how does it compare to your celica?

so slow! haha but i love the ride height. i can see around tall plants! plus the yaris ride is better and the car is larger. i had a 2001 celica so it was old (170K miles) and it was creaking and in need of serious TLC

i haven't been able to find much info (or not looking hard enough) about the new yaris. as far as aftermarket parts, are the parts the same for the 2014 and 2015 models? [i understand the the major changes are cosmetic] but if i was looking to change out a few things would it be alright to purchase 2014 parts?

Nice car! I actually like the chrome trim on the lower grill/bumper better than the all-black trim there on the SE ( and L) - and that is coming from someone who usually hates chrome trim, especially that garnish piece on the back of the 2012-2014 Yaris (and the Yaris sedan, and most other cars for that matter, lol). It just accents the new love-it-or-hate-it 2015 Yaris front design better IMO.

I also like the idea of the smaller turning radius with the LE/15" wheels, but for some reason the 15" wheels look almost too small (at least in pictures) to me on the 2012+ boxier Yaris sheetmetal/design. Thus, I would have to change the wheels out whether I bought a 2015 SE or LE, either to get up to 16" or to replace the fugly 16" 2015 SE alloys - but with the LE I would have to buy new tires right-away also (or wait until I wore out the stock tires before buying some 16" wheels for the LE).

As far as I know most core mechanical parts for the 2012-2014 Yaris (and even the 2007-2011 in many cases) will fit the 2015. Most of the exterior incompatibilities revolve around the front/rear bumpers and the headlights/taillights. Most of the interior incompatibilities revolve around any design/layout changes made to the car during various refresh cycles.

Thanks for the reply and the info!

I hated the alloys that came with the SE - and not super happy about the LE wheels but i've seen worse haha I've been keeping my eye on some konig forwards but i haven't made a decision yet. I do know that I want to get a size larger, and i'm happy they have the 4x100 pattern so i can swap wheels with my husbands honda ;)

I didn't like it in pictures but, since taking delivery, I like that garnish piece. Yesterday I was parked next to a silver 2015 5-door LE rental car at Starbucks. This reminded me of my preference for the chrome strip.

The main reason I crossed off the SE. This is not the only reason the L/LE turning radius is tighter...other parts involved in steering are different as well.

This is what I am doing right now.....and I'll replage them with the wider tire size that came stock on my '07...not the cheap, skinny 175 series that came stock on the '14.
