XXR Sportmax 513 Wheels and Tires
I'm convinced that I am going to buy the XXR 513s in gun metal gray for my 2008, silver sedan S. My sedan is lowered on Tanabe DF 210s. I would like to go up a rim size and put on 16 x 7s. My question is what would be the best offset for the rims and what size tire would help me avoid any problems with rubbing? Also, I am open to a tire brand/model. I live in Michigan and would be running this set up from spring through fall only. I use the car for commuting. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

You'll want the highest offset you can get, basically. A +40 or +42 would be great.

+40 with 195/50/16 , +42 and up 205 will do without rubbing.. rear i believe you can get away with +30 offset on 205's.. but i could be wrong.

the same the stock rs, the stock is actually .1 inch bigger which is almost nothing..unless you got base model which uses smaller diameter wheels then this setup is a lot bigger.

I run a 17 x 7 +40 offset wheels with 205/40 x 17 tires on my Yaris 4-door LB. Car is also lowered with Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Absolutely no rubbing issues. Check photos in my garage.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for the info Marcus and Benggolf 2...wow your car looks very, very tastefully done. Thanks for all the info thus far. From my research it doesn't look like enough offset is offered on a 513....I did find a similar wheel...ROTA RB...it comes in either a 40 or 42 offset among others. Now I just need to find a place that sells them and wouldn't mind getting tires from the same. Would need it shipped to Michigan. Any ideas on where to buy. Most of the really big tire/wheel distributors don't seem to carry ROTAs....

BTW train317, I have +10mm H&R wheel spacers at the rear to bring the tires almost flush to the body work (no rubbing whatsoever). You might want to consider doing the same.

Let me throw in that I run a 17x7 +42 offset wheel and I do rub (on DF210's), so I would go for the +40 offset that Benggolf2 uses and has no issues with.

DF210 lower the car more than Pro-Kit springs. Ryank, you car looks lower than mine in the photos.

Thanks for all the good info. BengGolf 2 did you have to go with longer wheel studs when you put on the rear spacers?

Yes, I ordered the H&R 10mm spacers from MicroImage and they came with longer wheel studs.
