Toyota Yaris Hybrid 2019 (69 Plate) Shift to “P” issue please help

Hi Guys,

Could I please get some help. I have brought a Toyota Yaris hybrid automatic 2019 (69 Plate) vehicle.

The airbags on the car had been set off, however these where replaced and the airbag module was reset (crash data was wiped). The diagnostic machine shows that there is no faults in the car all tests the diagnostic machine runs has passed.

The vehicle ignition turns on and the radio headlights and dashboard light up so there is power running into the car. However the vehicle doesn’t seem to crank and go into “READY” Mode. When the start button is pressed and my foot is on the break the little screen in the dashboard says to shift to “P” however the vehicle is already in “P” I have tried shifting out of “P” into N,D,R and then back into “P” but the vehicle still doesn’t recognise that it is in “p” the gear stick doesn’t seem jammed and doesn’t move freely.

When the ignition is turned on there is also a long continuous beep sound. Could anyone please help as to why the vehicle is not going into ready mode.
