I need help with electricals ( Power steering not working )
Hi, I've recently did some electric work on my 2008 sedan yaris.. I've switched the battery terminals to some vgates ones, Put a brand new group 35 agm battery, made my alternator wire and ground wire ( from battery to chassis and from battery to engine ) 1 AWG. During the process I had a little accident and shorted my alternator wire to the engine bay ( the white wire with the 60 amp fuse wasn't fused it was directly in contact with the battery connector... i know I'm dumb as shit ) ( My wrench hit the stud for the engine cover bolt ). Once I was done with all the work and started the car everything seemed to work fine but the power steering wasn't working, the engine seems to slow down and the airbag light comes on after a few seconds. The temperature sensor is flashing "Cool" but when I look through my OBD-2 i see the temperature sensor seems to be reading ok. Also my needles for the speed and RPM aren't budging... now I have a check engine for a p0121,p0122 etc. I'm currently changing the ECU and trying to reprogram the key. While doing that the throttle position sensor is making a big whiny noise. So far I've did parasitic draws test, checked all the fuses all the relays, switched the ECU, tried to look for a short everywhere but I can't seem to find anything. Have I missed something? Is there something else I should look at? I need to go to work and I can't take my car it's really bothering me idk what to do :( I don't have the money to take it to a shop...
