Hey all,
I have a 06 Yaris RS hatch, looking for a good combo for loweing springs and dampers. Got any suggestions? I was thinking Koni, but i'm not sure which damper I should get or Springs I should pair it with Any input would be great, -Kingsley |

What are you using them for?
The TRDs are a bit soft and non adjustable.

daily driving..but here in edmonton we get long winters so i want something that is able to give me more support during then thats why i need dampers in addition to lowering springs. I was looking at the coilover, but not sure if i need it since i'm not going to be tracking the car. any advantage of the basics over a good spring/damper combo?

hmm...i'll have to keep that in mind...i've read other forums on toyotanation that have said that the coilovers are much better than springs and dampers...even if its not affordable now, its better to wait...
but i also don't want to spend that much money on my daily...sigh anyone know of any places offering good online deals on the tein basics? |

wesellcarparts.com both vendors I looked at it like this. Install the basics and I won't need anything else suspension wise. I was considering DF's with TRD Struts (our only option for struts) upper strut bar and braces and a rear sway bar. In the end I think I saved money and I'm totally satisfied.

yeah, that is a very valid point. I've heard a couple of people tell me that coilovers will save me in the long run
do you have any pics of your car lowered on the basics, brick? |

I'd wait until some other players come into the coilover market for the yaris and the price lowers. Until then my TRD and Megan suspension should hold up just fine!

Does anyone know anything about the Design Motorsports Engineering coilover kit? I saw them in a catalog NST put in the package with my short shift kit--but no price. They've been mentioned here once before but no one knew any details.
