Broke the thermostat cable?
2011 Yaris hatchback
Well, I broke something. The temperature control knob no longer turns to fully hot, only goes to the 3 o'clock position and when the cars is warmed up, only supplies slightly warmer air. The knob was jamming up for a while now so something finally let go. Where would I start trouble shooting? |

I would start by removing the HVAC panel and making sure the cable is actually broken. It might just be out of place

The cable had a lot of play (stretched?) and partially popped off the pulley. I pulled the cable taught and put in a screw where the tail of the cable goes through. Seems to work. Thanks! |
