04 Echo driveshaft removal.......
Hello everyone,
ok, I have been struggling for hours now. I can not for the life of me get the driveshafts out of the transmission side. I have done tons of Hondas and they pop right out. I am bending the prybar trying to get the clips to release.......any thoughts? Thanks, Ron |

I know once when doing a strut replacement on a 2007 Gen2, we had that transmission side shaft literally fall right out on us. Don't know what's up with yours.

ok, I got the passenger side out. You need 2 prybars and it has to be coaxed out evenly. If you load one side it torques up and won't pop out.
I am leaving the drivers side in until I get the trans out cause there is no good way to get 2 pry bars in there. Talk about a frustrating day. |

We've all had days like that. Sometimes you car just kicks your ass lol. I was having difficulty removing the shafts from the xd trans. I found that the curved crow bar worked well. One quick snap and it was out. The flat prybars I was using just weren't doing it.
