I actually have seen that before. Although for the life of me I can't understand why anyone would do that. To each his own.

There a three wheeled HP3 scooter bed lined near my house. The self repaired 1978 rolled Subaru Station Wagon 4WD (carpet for the headliner) I bought for $500 in 82 was painted yellow with paint brush.
WHat I see/like is the arrangement keeping the edge of the plastic bumper in place!

Very common in the Jeep community, usually on old beater YJs...

Too bad I didn't have a camera handy. Earlier today I saw a 2-door GMC Sierra pickup painted with bed liner...like the OP's pic. It had a hard shell lid that was also covered with bed liner. On the left side of the tailgate (near the upper left hand corner) was an 'I heart Texas' bumper sticker (with the red 'heart' shaped like the state of Texas rather than a 'traditional' heart shape). On the right side of the tailgate (near the upper right hand corner) was a bumper sticker depicting the Come And Take It Flag. The Sierra was towing an empty black metal and wood trailer...like I see in Harbor Freight ads.

not sure you can get any more matte black than that.

Can't help the fuel mileage...
Is that a quick release rear bumper cover? Perhaps I should Bondo up the holes in our Escape and bury it under similar material.

I just saw an old Lexus RX300 (had been through a few fender benders) covered in it. Also, the color of the wheels had been changed to lime green.

i kinda like it actually. Looks like he took the time to mask off the rubber trim properly too.
Maybe the rough texture helps aero to offset the weight of the coating?? =) The bumper holder is..well, function over form.... |
