Global-E 'Pulse' EV
While at SEMA, I saw this car from a distance, and thought it must've been a JDM or EDM import. However, it turns out it's actually a new electric vehicle. Looks pretty good, too.

It looks like it has a manual transmission. It's made in America. What happen to GM and Ford???

No, this will not be recognized as a kit. It'll be a manufactured vehicle. It will have airbags and will be crash tested, I believe.

Too small. I think the chiropractic bills would pass up the gas savings pretty quick from squeezing in that tiny front seat. The solar roof appears to be some sort of cloth material. I wonder how it will handle sun/rain/hail/flying debris on the freeway. The interior shown is the "sport interior package." I'm truly afraid to see the base model. Also 23k gets you that car without the body kit, wing, fogs, wheels. 6 hour charge for 70 miles? So most people can get to work and back, and then if they need to drive anywhere else in a day, they need another car? Are there any front blinkers? Windshield only mounted blinkers will result in you missing a front bumper with a few days of LA driving. How long will the batteries, solar panel, reclaiming brakes, and 50 other electrical parts last??
They are getting close to making EVs usable, but this will not be the one. |
