New (paranoid) owner
So, the first 200 miles were marked with driving in THIRD gear (2009, automatic). After a week of ownership (the dealer didn't make it known), I discovered that 3 D does not represent a single gear but 2 separate gears, gah. I've been driving her as gently as possible (max of 60mph, slowly accelerating and braking). Do you "pros" think I've caused any long-term trans damage or should I just move forward happily knowing I caught the error of my ways around 200 miles?

Don't worry, it's been discussed before and it's likely okay.
Search is your friend Chalk it up to a learning experience, and maybe another reason to read the owner's manual before use

Thanks, wasn't sure what search term to use...reading up now. I'll just close/delete this thread as to not cause unnecessary clutter. ;)
Nevermind, it would appear deletion or closing of one's own thread is disabled. Have fun at my expense. |
