Dashboard White smudges

Hey Guys!.. I just Bought a Yaris and The Acrillic on the dashboard (the plastic that separates you from tha speedmeater, gas, time , etc) is full of white smudges that not let me see clear.

This Is How it looks Like

I remember that this happend to my mom once when they applied some of the interior protector on it.... the one you use on all of the dash board (the red on the pic below is to show you where you put the interior protector Im talking about hehehe)

I remember she had it like for two weeks and then the carwash guys where able to take it off when she told them.....

The thing is that ive not been able to take it off yet.

HEEEELP! PLEAAASEEE!!!

it shouldn't hurt the plastic. just don't leave it on for an extended period of time ;)

wipe in one corner quickly to see if it lifts the goo.

i hope it's goo and not the plastic getting eaten by the cleaner!

at first I aplied it with a little fear... hehe... so it dissapeared but 5 seconds later it all came back!!!.... so I applied it again with a little more pressure and all smudges just went away very easy!

Thanks alot!

glad it worked out for you :) also remember, mineral spirits rubbed on "frosted" headlights will help remove some of the yellowish tint.
but you shouldn't have that problem with a car as new as yours

You can also try that headlight polish stuff made for plastic lenses. Works good if you got scratches on the plastic too.

Parts of the Yaris dash are painted, go easy or you will go through the paint and hit the whitish plastic thats under it.
