Does this "afterburner" work with the Yaris?

Here is the link http://www.jegs.com/i/Hot+Rod+Speed+...3505K/10002/-1

On the website says "Afterburner Flame Thrower kits will work on any carbureted, non-emission controlled vehicle"

Can it be possible to make something similar for fuel injection cars?

I intend to use it with a straight pipe exhaust without cat. The ecu is a gotech mfi standalone fully tunable.

The intension of use is only for pure car show meetings obviously not street use!

you could use just one coil and a sparkplug and do it pretty easily..

Don't laugh, benggolf, decades ago a buddy of mine torched a following vehicle... Night time, a guy pulls up behind him with high beams on. He reaches down and hits the switch, and only then did he see the flashing lights of the cop car in amongst the flames...

Nice to know it is an effective flame thrower!
Give a good reason to consider this mod. No kidding.

Anyone up to group buy or designing a "flame-thrower" kit for radical YW forum members?

1.) small bottle of nitrous oxide
2.) purge kit
3.) RC car glow plug

I have seen a setup using these three things set up just left of the exhaust. The guy, a wiring god, wired it somehow to burn after a high rev. Spent less than 100 bucks.

non flammable gas.. you'd STILL need fuel added to it for it to "burn"

Well it worked, I just thought it was neat that he used a 1.5 volt RC car glow plug. Otherwise I had no idea nor care to how the hell it worked.

Isn't oxygen considered a fuel, not too overwhelming intelligent when it comes to chemistry but I thought adding oxygen would make no2 flammable.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrous_oxide

N2O is an oxidizer. At higher temperatures it breaks down and gives up it's oxygen atoms. By providing more oxygen, more fuel can be burned, providing more energy or power. I can see how N2O can add to the flames at the exhaust, but it would have to be added after the engine.
