It was either Motor Trend or Car and Driver that had an article saying that it would never come to the U.S. but that it was the #1 saler in Japan.

that is just so cool -- LOVE that color too. Anyone know what motor they are using? I've heard 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5L

Pretty sure it's the 1.3, but who knows. The media says one thing and Toyota does another

People say that my Yaris is too small. In fact as a commuter car it has more room than I need. This car would be perfect for me.

I've seen one at my local Toyota dealer 1 month ago.
It's a nice car and best looking in white is my opinion. It's sold here as a 1.0 and 1.3 vvti petrol and a 1.4 d-4d diesel just like in my Yaris. The next car i'm going to buy is going to be a Urban Cruiser that's for sure. But the iQ is a nice car too! |

pink wheels are cool

i read in motor trend or car and driver on of them that this was getting bad reviews
"Toyota's 3+1 Isn't That Much Fun, But It's All in the Packaging" "On the other hand, in tight twisting mountain roads, the iQ is no fun. The steering has a good, natural feel to it, but it doesn't take long for the little front tires to surrender purchase and leave you in ESP-slowed limboland. During our recent drive of the Ford Ka, we found it roomier than the iQ for the same price, and far more fun." "0-to-60 is about 14 sec, and with a top speed of just 93 mph, you've very little in reserve for fast highway upgrades or even headwinds." that right there is the killer they rated the ford Ka over this car :::shocked::: interesting read, dont really know how i feel about it..... i think i like the cube a lot better but hard to tell until you really get to drive one http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._iq/index.html |

This is a much smarter but also smaller car. Then again i don't like the new Fords with their ''overdesign''. And we had 3 Fords but never!! again. |

Hopefully it comes to Canada. Since the Scion is coming here, Toyota will need to beef-up that segment. Traction control would be necessary for our slick road, and a bigger engine to handle all the stop and go driving.
For the twisty snow filled road, I'd prefer some intuitive hand/emergency brakes and a car that understeers, rather then one that'll loose it's rear end. Perhaps a more balanced setup would be preferable in a longer wheel base car, but in such a small car, the safest setup is best. |
