nice! my xA weighs in at 2133 in street trim (with airbags and carpet and a/b/c pillars in place, and on street wheels, 17X7)

i'd imagine i'm under 2100 now

(this is w/o rear seat) i think after we took out all the junk,(2 tires, header, metal scrap i got, bolts, tools and tool cases) weight came down to 2001-2002!

taking out the spare tire and metal part of the rear seat will help in getting down to under 2000lbs!

Nice. I believe the sedans weigh in at about 40-60 lbs less than the 3-door LB's. Why, I'm not sure.

Here's Toyota's spec page for the 2009 Yarises: http://www.toyota.com/yaris/specs.html
You can switch between models for comparison. According to that, the base sedan is 2 lbs lighter than the 3 door with 5 spd, and 14 lbs lighter with the auto.

Interesting. I always went with the published weight of almost 2300 and figured mine was right about 2200 with the back seat out and lighter wheels. Sounds like it may actually be closer to 2100... lighter than I thought. Nice.

WTH!? Did they change it? When I was buying mine, I could have sworn I saw a bigger difference in weight.

Why is there a 60 pound difference right to left in the rear?

And is that significant when considering auto-x or suspension tuning in general?

Completely insignificant unless you have the suspension tuned to perfection (for the specific track you're driving on that specific day) AND you are among the top drivers in the world.

None of us would ever notice it.

9 hours is a bit of a haul for a test session! Something tells me that our LeMons car would not pass SCCA scrutiny, anyway. We tested the 325 LeMon last year at a BMW club event at Sebring... they almost didn't let us out on track!
