well...to see how comfortable it was. I spend every weekend out at an airport, so I was weighing it as a long term option, but that ain't happening. I either bringing an SUV or a tent from here on out.

Did you sleep in the seats or in the hatch? If the latter, I would consider a small inflatable mattress if you aren't using one already. Plus, a split-folding rear seat--which lies flatter than the bench, would also be better. Otherwise, have you ever considered just getting a hotel?

I have the split rear...and the seats are not currently in the car, so I just curled up in the footwell of the backseat. Oh and a hotel involves driving, which involves not drinking, and is therefore excluded by default.

Ouch! No wonder! But kudos to you for not driving after drinking! And a tent/sleeping back are definitely in order...

Keep the keys out of the ignition. People can get a drunk driving ticket even if they aren't driving. The cops use the intent to drive as a reason to give a ticket.

Actually, I would recommend checking your state laws, as in some locations it is illegal even to be in the car with the keys on your person if you have been drinking...

I believe that's the way it is here in alaska. If you're drunk, you better not be in the car, unless someone else is driving.

I think you guys are right, and it kind of makes me want to sleep drunk with my keys in my pocket til I get arrested and then sue the state.

I wouldn't think the Yaris is that comfortable to sleep in unless maybe you rig up a small mattress in there somehow (remove the front seat?) but even so.

You have a tagline that says "The next person that says "Get 'r done" is getting stabbed in the face", and yet the subject of your post is a Country song waiting to be written!
![]() It might go something like this: Before I was drinkin', I found myself thinkin', I'll get the car home alright. But after some hours, Of shots and some brewskis, I slept in my Yaris last night. Seriously though - good move not driving!
