Why is the Yaris with factory alloys so rare?
I've yet to see one on the road or in a dealer's lot. Why is Toyota so reluctant to equip these things with the factory alloy wheels? I think they're absolutely gorgous, but you just never see them. I hate the dam elcheapo plastic wheel covers!!!!!

Mine came with the 10-spoke "Made in the USA" 15" wheel...are you talking about that wheel, or the 15" 7-spoke "Made in China" wheel that's displayed in the parts department/customer waiting area?

Okay, I think the 15" 5-spoke is for the 'S' model Yaris

Yes, those were only availabe on the S (or RS here in Canada). Also, they were the wheels on the 2006-2008 models. 2009/10 have different alloys now.

I don't care for the newer style wheels. I think the 5 spokers look much better. Those wide, beefy looking spokes went well with the overall look of the hatchback.

If I end up buying a Yaris I'll definitely be interested, but right now I don't have one. What kind of a price are you guys (or gals) looking to get?

I have the five-spoke OEM alloys on my sedan... it came this way, and it is NOT an S (but is "loaded" otherwise). The S has no bearing on wheel choice, the wheels are an upgrade option. Also, I see S sedans pretty often with steelies and plastic wheel covers.
In my opinion, the 5-spoke looks better on sedans, like mine, while the newer 8-spoke design looks better on hatchbacks. I don't think the 5-spoke is available anymore, if Toyota's website is any indication. But either is a vast improvement over plastic wheel covers. I also covet these two OEM alloys. Wish they were available new for less than a fortune. I checked prices at the dealer once, and the price per wheel was ~$350/wheel(!) if I remember correctly. The alloys I've seen in the Toyota accessory catalog (I guess these are the Chinese ones) look too cheap (no offense to those that may have these).
![]() I would have gotten my latest Yaris with these nice alloys, but Toyota's Midwest district doesn't offer them!
