Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust??

Is there a quiet Performance muffler available for Yaris?

Yes.

The TRD exhaust is the quietest.

For the first couple of weeks it was pretty loud but once the carbon built up in it quited down A LOT.

Now it sound perfect. Nice low idle tone and deep growl.

I love it and the shape of the muffler isn't too unsightly either:D

I can confirm this. I just installed my trd three days ago. it seems to have lost over half of its noise. it sounds perfect now, before it was way too loud.

The better the performance the louder in a nutshell, but remember a muffler is mainly cosmetic if the rest of the exhaust is restricted.

+1 on TRD being the quietest w/ a decent sound when you get on it.

Too bad the TRD is so pricey, but it sounds like what i'm looking for.

AFAIK the Greddy and Tanabe are just as expensive.

Can try out the Fujitsubo Wagonlist. Sound really sporty & bassy without horning your ears inside the car.

I'm pretty sure the TRD is made by Borla right?

I have the TRD.
It's a great setup. You WILL nitice a big difference in the cabin noisewise.
But it's something you get used to with time....

Trying to find a borla part # for it, maybe its cheaper than the one with a TRD stamped on it. Finding nothing for the Yaris specifically on the borla website.

And you won't.

It is custom-made to Toyota's specs. And I really can't remember if it is Borla or Bosal, but I am 90% sure it's Borla.

Just like you won't find the same trd shocks on kyb's website:)

Get it from trdsparks. Great people and very good pricing. You will spend the same on any other, really.

Or you can wait it out and see if someone puts one up for sale.

EDIT: I forgot that Garm sells the Nitto for cheap here.

Cool link, how's that Nitto?, I'm looking for a deep growl if not mild, less ricey sounding.

The Nitto is a nice deep tone. Not too loud, the extra resonators help. I enjoyed mine when I had it.

Tanabe Medalion Touring

Lovely exhaust with a nice low tone. Quite similar to the TRD. This is the exhaust that I had always wanted and finally was able to pick up a pristine one used earlier this year.

Member fmicle has just posted one up for sale in California.
