Super quiet exhaust.

Looking for after market exhaust that is as quiet as the stock exhaust. No fart actions. Any suggestions?

"As quiet" means just as restrictive. Even the TRD axle-back is a little louder than stock.

What is your reason for wanting an aftermarket exhaust?

Free up the flow and maybe gain a tiny bit of power. I'll slowly keep on adding performance tid bits over the next year. If I can get 15hp more I'm good but don't want to sound like a wanna be race car.

While I agree with this statement, some aftermarket exhausts do get closer to others as far as volume levels. I've read that the Fujitsubo Wagolis is a good example of the quieter sort... also listened to a couple of youtubes.

any aftermarket exhaust will be louder. if you go custom with magnaflow muffler it should be quiet until about 3 grand on the tach and then start getting louder....but it's not loud. it's a nice low sound. it will resonate, but i dont have that exhaust yet so i cant tell you it's resonant rpm range.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/streetmufflers.asp
14807 for round tips and 14833 for square tips. these are the mufflers i'll be using with a custom catback pipe. removing the resonator will make it louder, and also a header will make it loud. keep the resonator and go axle back for a quiet exhaust, but it's got more restrictions.

i'd have to suggest the muffler i have: Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. If you plan on keeping your cats, then this thing would be perfect.

its a universal muffler, so u need to have the shop bend the 2" pipe cat back and do some manuvering of muffler to fit. but i got it to work. actually my muffler is a 2 1/4" in n out. the guy a muffler shop told me that 2 1/4" was to big lossing too much backpressure. i say if u want a lil better flow get a bigger than stock universal replacement muffler with piping!!

You can't free up the flow AND have it as quiet at stock.

You won't; maybe 5 at best.

You could mimick the stock multi-pass set up by using two or three high performance mufflers. I'm not sure how many mufflers you can cram in the stock location, but going through three large diameter turbo mufflers might be pretty quiet. Rearward through the first, forward through the second, rearward through the third.

I am looking for something similar, but I want it to be just a hair louder than stock. I had a random turbo muffler on a civic and liked the way it sounded, just the slightest bit of increase in sound and no resonance...I'm just not sure it will be exactly the same on the Yaris so i haven't pulled the trigger.

I love my Tanabe Touring Medalion. Just the right amount of pep when I'm accelerating and stays nice and quiet when I'm not.

+1. Good sounding exhaust without being too loud with a nice, deep tone. Built like a brick outhouse, too.
