it means you aim the car at a wall at night so you can see how sharp the line is from light to dark. When you put rebased HID bulbs into a non HID housing you get light thrown all over the place that blinds oncoming drivers.

This is a cutoff picture I ganked from Violin. Thanks buddy. HID lighting is so bright and so focused, when you install HID's for the first time you have to pull the car up to a wall and make sure they're aligned correctly. If not, you could be blinding the people driving towards you, and that isn't good. They could blank out and hit your pretty little car head-on. HID's don't do you much good with a Ford Explorer grill twisted amongst them. Violin's lights make a very distinct, straight line, and there is little to no bleeding of light above the line. All his light stays below. Therefore, his lights have a great cutoff. I know you did this, Steve, right? RIGHT?

If I am correct,Violin's pic is a Yaris, and I dont think he did a retrofit,so the cutoff is awsome on our stock housing,Im assuming

Nope... he's built a custom housing with projectors (I believe). However, Chris07LB installed HIDs in the stock housing with good results, but still required a little fine tuning.

I have candles that give off more light then a 10000k kit.

Not to be overly critical... but Chris is right - the 10,000k HID probably puts less light on the road than your stock lights. It does put out a LOT of glare which certainly pisses off other drivers and will likely draw the attention of the cops - you could even cause an accident. The blue light scatters like a SOB.
I wasn't all that happy with the cutoff from a 5,000k kit in the stock housing. The beam pattern on the wall didn't look all that bad, but when testing it by driving another car at mine, I saw just how much glare it produced - even with the lights aimed low. A full retrofit with projectors is a lot of work, but it's worth the effort. |

Ok guys...I have recieved a large amount of difference in lighting, positive lighting I should say bcuz Im sry no HID w/e K it is will compare to halogen lights. They are HID's for crying out loud, I choose 10000k for the color not for the performance and the cut off pic ill get you sour guys the pic bcuz my car club had a photo shoot thats why there is no cut off pic these pics were takin for the car not the HID's even though my lights are the size needed for the yaris..but i was hoping for a bit more positive feedback i comment on everybody saying nice things not attacking them..Im sry but in my opinion my car looks sick, sicker than alot of cars on here sry to tell you guys

You have something against Chinese people?
If you do, bring this attitude elsewhere.

Your HID and HID fog lamp together do look very sick, which is very nice.
However, if you can do something to it to not blind other driver that much would be even better. You don't want them to hurt your baby by accident We should all appreciate other people's hard work whether it is good or bad, there are always room for improvement and be supportive. We are all Yaris lover that is what matters. All in all good job elsteverino889 on your sick looking HID
