Wheel Stud specs
I'll be changing over from winter to summer tires and would like to clean up the stud threads with a die. Does anyone know what size die I should use?

Have a look for a "thread chaser" rather than a die. They are made to clean up threads rather than cut new ones. Will work better (cheaper too).
When over-torqued it's often the lugs that get damaged. The small end of the taper gets pinched in causing it to be tight on the lug. Cheers. |
